Make known to the public the benefits of SPCUG membership and contacts vendors to arrange such benefits. Write articles for Sacra Blue as necessary detailing current benefits.

Training Coordinator
Creates and manages ongoing beginner level tutorial sessions to educate SPCUG members and attract prospective members. Must have specific knowledge of Win9x and the Internet and be able to deliver interesting and entertaining lectures. The tutorials should be focused on making computers enjoyable and useful. If necessary, invite guest lecturers, acquire complementary software and hardware, or create and manage adjunct training sessions.

Chapter/SIG Equipment Coordinator
Be responsible for the transfer or make arrangements for the transfer of the computing and projection equipment used by Chapters & SIGs before their monthly meetings.

Equipment Coordinator
Responsible for most of the auxiliary equipment and materials needed at the General Meeting and other various SPCUG functions. Includes transporting and assembling the recording equipment, banners, signs, and related items used by SPCUG staff and, if necessary, delegating all or part of these responsibilities to an alternate.

Membership Director
Responsible for maintaining the SPCUG membership database. If necessary, recruit and train an assistant. Create and make available promotional material detailing benefits of membership. Create reports for distribution at the Steering Committee meeting that include monthly totals of membership, renewals, new members and trend analyses. Create and manage efforts at recruiting new members. Manage membership renewal forms, recent back issues of Sacra Blue, and assorted administrative paperwork. Coordinate with the Treasurer in a timely manner.
Create and deliver a mailing list to the contracted company who mails Sacra Blue. The mailing list includes regular membership, newsletter exchanges, complementaries, and publishers of reviewed products.
Responsible for maintaining the Group's membership database computer, postage meter and the high-speed printer (used to print out renewals and membership cards).
Create a chapter count report each quarter or on demand (members affiliated with a particular Chapter) and deliver to the Treasurer. Receive from the Treasurer Chapter Support checks and deliver them to the President or Treasurer of each respective chapter.

Publicity Coordinator
Contacts newspapers, periodicals, TV and other media institutions in an effort to give SPCUG publicity, general exposure and a means to interact with the community. If necessary, recruits and manages assistants.

Programs Coordinator
Contact industry representatives to offer invitations to deliver presentations that will educate and entertain the general membership. The speakers must demonstrate a product or deliver a speech relating to the computer industry. If necessary, acquire and coordinate specialized equipment for the presentation. Maintain close contact with scheduled speakers, confirming the schedule, giving directions and assisting with lodging when necessary. Assist speakers with their equipment. Provide follow-up with the presenter, extend invitation to after-meeting dinner, and make arrangements to mail a copy of next month's newsletter.

Shareware Librarian
Create and maintain a library of shareware. Specify acceptable criteria for the inclusion of shareware into the library. Write a monthly column for Sacra Blue and occasionally demonstrate recent library additions at the General Meeting.
- Shareware:
- Find and review/evaluate interesting and worthwhile shareware programs (may require a personal internet account). Contact shareware publishers requesting fully licensed review copies/door prizes.
- Library:
- Create, delete, and update volumes as required, assure integrity and virus-free status of volumes, and provide for their availability to the public. Give a summary of recent library additions to the Steering Committee and Main Meeting audience.
- Administration:
- Aquire necessary supplies, maintain paperwork including an income/expense balance sheet and sales report, and evaluate current sales trends and recommend changes in price structure if necessary. Acquire licenses for required software (virus scanners, zip archivers, etc.) Oversee associate librarians, delegate tasks appropriately. Maintain contact with other user group librarians and scan other user group newsletters.

Training Media Librarian
Maintain the 'Training Media Library' and bring it to the General Meeting. This material is available to members only (a definite benefit).
At the meetings, material is checked out, a refundable deposit taken and a record is made of the material the member checks out. Deposit amounts are determined by the librarian based on the value of the material, but generally not less than $10. When the material is returned next month, the deposit is returned. The librarian should call any member that does not return material on time and ensure its return by the next monthly meeting.
The librarian is always looking for material to add to the training library - books, some magazines, video cassettes, audio tapes and software (disks, CD's etc ). Solicit and accept donations from various sources - our membership, vendors, advertisers, friends, relatives and neighbors, etc. Provide receipts upon request.
Provide a listing to the Sacra Blue editor of all materials available for check out, updated monthly.

Volunteer Manager
Identify specific tasks and ongoing projects/positions required for the efficient functioning of the Group. Recruit and manage volunteers to serve the Group. Develope and implement incentives to maximize retention.

Vendor Coordinator
Responsible for providing Guest Speakers and other Vendors appropriate accommodations to display their products or services which may include reserving table space, approving seat flyers, and other logistics. Guarantee table space to essential SPCUG functions and provide remaining table space to members. Establish table rental and seat flyer rates and usage policies. Inform Vendors of their responsibilities with respect to setup, teardown and cleanup. Inform the Meeting Coordinator if any Vendor wishes time at the podium. Accepts rental income and forwards funds to the Treasurer. Report scheduled Vendor participation at the Steering Committee meeting.

Webmaster
Maintains and manages the SACPCUG Web site. Currently, the site is hosted by Calweb, Inc. Responsibilities include:
- Site Viability:
- Creates and edits site content to assure currency and accuracy. Coordinates with the Editor-in-Chief of Sacra Blue and the Chief Editor of eBlue in the management of the eBlue portion of the site. Coordinates with other officers of the Group in the management of their respective site content.
- File Management:
- Protects access to the site, uploads and deletes files as necessary. Guarantees all site content is used by permission. Insures the site is not being violated or abused, best achieved by reviewing a directory listing on a regular basis. Maintains a local mirror of the site.
- Web Team:
- If necessary, coordinate with the Volunteer Manager to create and manage a team of assistants.
- Host Relations:
- Contacts the host provider's Technical Support Services as necessary.
- Public Relations:
- Answer e-mails addressed to the Webmaster in a timely and accurate manner.
- Steering Committee:
- Make regular reports to the Steering Committee regarding site activity and general content.
