Highlights from the December 13, 1999
Steering Committeee Meeting

Treasurer Don Frieze reported a positive cash flow of $923.54 for November (our first in many months), primarily due to a high number of renewals. Marsha Leonard reported that our membership has dropped to 1014.

A second installment of the PC Jamboree is scheduled for January 15. We need volunteers.

A general discussion ensued regarding offering training classes. The steering committee requested a specific proposal with facts and figures before discussing the concept further.

Ken Hopkins agreed to post speaker and topic information on the members' discussion list a few days before each main meeting.

Ken suggested that it might be time to stop publishing the print edition of Sacra Blue. Much discussion followed, with suggestions to publish all-electronic editions, publish larger quarterly issues with brief meeting announcements on off-months. A general discussion was slated for the December General Meeting.

The committee decided to eliminate the need for a password to access eBlue except for certain members-only information, such as the Mentor List.

Our current meeting hall contract expires in April 2000, and we will search for free or less costly space before renewing our lease.
