At the September meeting, Steve Osterreicher presented a case study of a retirement system created for the County of Sacramento using both Access and Web-based interfaces as front ends to an SQL Server database. PowerPoint slides of his presentation are available for downloading from SMSDB.

The October 19 meeting will introduce the new features of the latest version of Microsoft's Server database product. Sundar Viswanathan of Microsoft will expand on his relatively brief presentation at our Kick-Off meeting and go into more detail as he presents the features and capabilities of SQL Server 2000.
Sundar Viswanathan is a Senior Technology Specialist with Microsoft. His expertise is in RDBMS technology and in middleware and management tools. Prior to coming to Microsoft, Sundar worked at Oracle Corporation in several technical capacities. Prior to that, he was a database consultant.
