Rotation, Rotation, Rotation!

They say location, location, location are the three musts in real estate. On the volunteer front it's rotation, rotation, rotation." We must rotate our volunteers to keep them fresh and interested. That usually means new people coming into the volunteer force to replace those that have served us well already. But sometimes it means existing volunteers taking over new or vacant positions. Want to switch jobs? Have you volunteered some time lately?

Tom Anderson, our Executive Vice President, is starting a new column about interesting Web sites. He will be asking for your feedback on sites you have found while surfing the Web. Let him know what you find interesting out there in cyberspace. Contact Tom directly with a link and information about your favorite sites.

New Volunteers
Al Eno, our Mail Person for several years, is helping out again by becoming our new Training Instructor Assistant and additional Question and Answer Table person. Al has been faithfully picking up and hand-delivering the mail twice a week to our Treasurer Don Frieze. That's quite an effort when you consider how many deliveries this is in a year. Thanks, Al, for past service and taking on new duties.

Jim Lochart came to the September Committee meeting to get approval to start a new SIG called Digital Imaging. The SIG was approved, and Jim will be opening the doors to the SIG at the first official meeting on the first Tuesday of next month. See our SIG information page for address and directions.

Volunteer Thanks
Another thank you needs to go out to Jim Taylor and Ron Lambert, who have been greeting people at the door of our monthly meetings for twelve and five years respectively. They also hand out those prize tickets that everyone looks forward to cashing in on near the end of the meetings. If you think of it, thank them personally for their extended terms of service to the group at the next meeting.

Volunteer Openings
Please take a look at the following volunteer openings. If you think you can help the group, give me a call at 916-921-6414, or drop me an e-mail.

Calendar Editor
Edits the 2½-month calendar found in back of Sacra Blue (Word document).
Edits the Chapter and SIG meeting list.

I am sure you will find volunteer work for the group very rewarding, and it could even create some interesting opportunities for you. You may be surprised how little time is involved in some of the positions that hold great benefit for the group.
