I found out why installing software is such a pain. It turns out that most of the software developers use programs like InstallShield to build their installs. You simply answer a bunch of questions and the program does the rest. But the wizard does not take you to this screen, you have to hunt for it. These are the default settings.
On an unrelated issue, one of my readers, Sandy Eggo, sent in the following verification dialog box. I think it indicates people are watching too much TV when they should be surfing the web.
