The WP SIG met in December for the last time in the year 2000. No one had any really earth-shattering problems this month, but several issues came up that were reviewed, either for the first time or as a refresher.
There are so many capabilities in this program it is impossible to remember everything it does, or is capable of doing, so refreshers are always welcome.
The major items discussed and reviewed this month were auto-scroll, quick format, outlining, undo/redo history, and text art.
There was also some discussion regarding CD burners, CD write vs. rewrite capabilities and OCR software.
A new WP website has been located at www.wpwin.com. It is maintained by Gordon McComb (the WP macro guru) and Paul Merrell. They have free macros, merges, tips, tricks, and other useful goodies as well as a User-to-User forum for WordPerfect users, and multiple links to other WP resources.
Next meeting will be the 4th Thursday of January (the 25th) and we are still at the SMUD building at Elkhorn and Don Julio. Hope to see you there.
