Candidate Statements for Certain Positions of the 2001-2002 Board of Directors

For President, Milt Hull
I have been involved with this group since it’s infancy back in 1982 and the group has been very good to me since then. I take great pride in stating that this group, like many other groups, has been a strong force in the PC industry and a loader voice in the community. This, as well as expanding our expertise to people, whether they are members or not, is why I want the Sacramento PC Users Group not to fail. I have many ideas for the club, as you can see in this month’s President’s column. I want to work for the club, making it again the biggest PC users group on the West Coast and the fifth largest club in the nation. We had these stats, back in the early nineties when I was President. I would like to continue working for these goals and run again for the office of President of the Sacramento PC Users Group.

For Treasurer, Don Frieze
I’m running on a "share" campaign: Many members have shared their knowledge and experience with me. I have received help from SIGS, the help desk, from mentors, and from members. Turn around is fair play.

My knowledge of computers is not extensive but I do have knowledge and experience with accounting and taxes. I am therefore prepared to share that knowledge and experience by being your Treasurer for the following year.

I challenge you to share your knowledge and experience by volunteering to share your experience with this group in what ever capacity you are comfortable with.

I would appreciate your support by voting for me. Thank you.

For Vice President, Tom Anderson
I appreciate the faith members showed in me last year, when they elected me to the office of Vice President. I’ve enjoyed the last year. I have found it rewarding to serve as vice president and as content editor of Sacra Blue. I feel the present group of officers is making progress in putting the group on firmer financial ground, and has begun to attack the problem of declining membership. We can make progress if we all work together. I ask for your vote for a second term to continue this work.
