WordPerfect did not meet in November, as our November meeting always falls on Thanksgiving. Though I didn't speak with any of the members that evening, I would imagine we were all too full of turkey to care too much about WP or anything else except maybe a ball game or a nap.
WordPerfect Office 2002 Service Pack 2 is coming soon. It will include the Corel Migration Manager (4.2 MB). The Corel Migration Manager is a standalone utility designed to facilitate the migration from earlier versions of WordPerfect (versions 6.1 through 9) to the most current version:WordPerfect Office 2002. The Migration Manager will enable users to back up and migrate important files and registry settings, such as default templates, customized toolbars, macros, address books, user word lists,and QuickWords.
The WordPerfect Office 2002 Hot Patch (48 KB) will update WordPerfect Office 2002 Standard and Professional editions, builds 10.0.0.517 and 518. Included in this Patch is the Microsoft Word 2002 (XP) import filter. Please note: Some new features in Microsoft Word 2002 may not be supported at this time.
Service Pack 1 (811 KB) consists of two files: wpwin10.dll which resolves the "Unable to load WPWIN10.DLL" error, and prwin10.exe which resolves issues related to setting up poster pages with multiple page sizes.
The Quattro Pro 10 Patch (1.3 MB) will update WordPerfect Office 2002 Standard and Professional English editions for Quattro Pro build 10.0.0.517.
Change included in this patch: qpw100.dll will be updated to correct problem with saving passwords to wb3 file format.
Are you using Corel Presentations? If so, here's a quick tip for you: In Corel Presentations 10, you can apply slide transitions. This feature lets you choose the way that your presentation will make the transition from one slide to the next. You can choose the type of transition (such as blinds, fade, or sweep), as well as its direction and speed.
To apply a slide transition: 1. Choose a slide transition from the slide transitions list box on the property bar. 2. Choose a transition direction by opening the direction picker on the property bar and clicking a direction. 3. Choose a speed for the slide transition by opening the speed picker on the property bar and clicking a speed.
