We've been a chapter since spring of 1985; 18 years of helping each other. While we could have become sentimental over breaking up officially, nobody got upset, and folks were actually quite upbeat about it. That’s probably because little will really change except that we won’t have officers and I won’t write this column any more. We’ll still meet every month at the same place and time.

I’ve been an officer of the Chapter for many years now; most of the time, I was its President. I’ve also written most of these chapter reports. I’ve enjoyed it, and I’m grateful for the friends that I’ve met and the support I’ve received from them. I’d like to thank all of them, especially, in more-or-less chronological order, Tony Barcellos, Gene Weisskopf, Dave Eden, and Ralph Reid – good fellows when serving as Chapter officers, and good friends at all times.

Thank you also to all of the Sacra Blue editors over the years, especially Tony Barcellos and Tom Anderson, who have published my columns, reviews, special articles, and even once, a humorous illustration.

I’m sure that the folks who made up the Davis Chapter will always be willing to help other folks with PC questions, and will always welcome one and all to their meetings. We’ll keep meeting on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Davis public library. Come on down and join in!
