SPCUG Benefits and Special Offers

New Magazine Prices
Herb Goodman sent us a brand new list of magazine offers as of April 1999; some magazines no longer exist, some have new titles, and Herb is offering some new magazines for you. The prices are available only for SPCUG members and are not to be posted on any BBS or on the Internet.
The prices in the table on this page are for new subscriptions and renewals. For renewals you must supply an address label from your present subscription to ensure the correct start date for your renewal. Please allow 10 to 12 weeks for your subscriptions to start. All orders must be accompanied with cash, a check, or a money order. As an extra service, Herb will mail a renewal notice about three months prior to your subscriptions’ expiration date.

Make your payment payable to Herb Goodman and mail to:

This month, I’m reminding you about some special offers that you might not have received. This one is for the Print Shop 6.0 (PS6) “VIP upgrade.” Just about everybody knows about the legendary Print Shop. New features in PS6 include new editing and special effects tools to make photos look fantastic.
You can fix red eye, remove flare, dust and scratches, crop, rotate, and use many other features. You can also create newsletters, brochures, reports, resumes, letters, booklets, ads, and scores of other desktop publishing tasks. PS6 contains tens of thousands (their words) of images and photos. It has 200 QuickStart Layouts, and drag and drop to place text and images.
You may know that Print Shop is now part of Parsons, which is part of The Learning Company, via Brøderbund. Call 1-800-727-1631 to order and if you don’t have your letter, use the priority code #6899980 to order the upgrade at $19.00 plus $6.95 shipping and handling. It also includes Calendar Creator 5.0 for free. Print Shop is actually a stand-alone product even though it is called an upgrade.
That’s about all I have room for this month, but join me here next month where we’ll discuss deals. If you have questions, you can contact me by e-mail at dealsguy@mindspring.com .
