In April, a small but select group of Yuba-Sutter chapter members learned from President Tony Brower and Treasurer Leo Peters about a freeware program called PrintKey 2000 that gives the Print Screen Function that has been missing from our lives back to us. The program is available on the Web at www.geocities.com/~gigaman.
Downloading the program is quick and easy. The program gives you the ability to print the Desktop, the Active Window of Windows 95/98 or NT 4.0, or a DOS box. The instructions say that it will not print a full DOS window. Alfred Bollinger is the author of PrintKey 2000, and it is available in both English and German versions.

Tony reported that he had attended the SPCUG Steering Committee meeting, enjoyed meeting our leaders, and ate most of a steer. Leo told us how he evaded the pervasive Melissa virus, and other current viruses were discussed.
Dave Overton of Sutter Yuba Internet Exchange was to be our speaker in May, but was unable to come. Instead we found out how local PC technicians would propose to upgrade a 200-MHz Pentium MMX system, what options are available, and the costs. The target system (mine) has 32 MB of memory and a 16X CD-ROM. Leo and Tony also offered to upgrade my system at the meeting. Could I trust these guys? Read this chapter report next month and find out.
