Steering Committee
May 12 Steering Committee Notes

As mentioned last month, the Steering Committee received a suggestion to rotate several SPCUG business reports to shorten the business portion of the general meeting and, thus, help shorten the overall length of the general meeting. The idea was approved. President Frank Leonard will develop a rotation schedule.
Milt Hull volunteered to put an announcement on the general SPCUG e-mail discussion list (our Listar system) a few days before each general meeting. The announcement was proposed as a timely reminder and as notification of the meeting schedule.

Membership Director Marsha Leonard reported 59 membership renewals were received since the last Steering Committee. The total membership is now at 1183.
The Steering Committee voted to discontinue sales of Sacra Blue at the Sacramento Borders bookstore due to the very low sales totals, small profit margin, delivery, and pickup difficulties, as well as issues with printing the eBlue password in the newsletter since non-members who would buy the magazine could access eBlue.
