May's WordPerfect SIG meeting came just a few days after most of our SIG members attended the rollout of Corel's new WordPerfect Office 2000 on Monday, May 24 at the Heritage Hotel in Sacramento. I heard that the event drew about 300 people, which was a larger audience than Corel expected. Corel gave away some products and also had special product prices for attendees.
    Our May 27 SIG meeting featured Dennis Taylor, who started the evening with a short demonstration of how he combined a Paradox application with a WordPerfect merge to get a report. We had additional discussion about using WP's address book including how to back it up and how to put it into a merge file. We also had some additional lessons on sorting, maneuvering the toolbar, creating a Table of Authorities, accessing a macro, and finding a list of the macros that ship with WP.
