I recently joined the SPCUG when I learned there was an Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) Study Group SIG. This SIG was just finishing up and I didn't want to see a good thing come to an end. Since I am studying for my MCSE+I (Internet) certification while working towards a degree in Computer Science, I wanted to keep this SIG alive, so I submitted a request to start another one. That's how I became involved in the SPCUG.
| The mission of our group is not only to become MCSEs (or MCSE+1s), but to really know our products. Our motto is "What good is a piece of paper if you don't know what to do with it?" When I have completed my certification, I plan to continue attending the SIG meetings to maintain my knowledge of Microsoft NT applications. The group is currently studying NT Server. —Carmen Mesick |
