Our August 5 meeting was held at Placer Savings Bank in Roseville. Our presenter was Ann McCandless, owner of Computer Assistance. Her firm conducts classes in many different PC programs. A partial list of her class topics includes basic computer literacy, advanced WINDOWS classes, word processing, spreadsheets, database programs, presentation graphics and DOS programs.

Ann's presentation was both well prepared and delivered with a projector. A nice five-page text handout, with graphics, explained each step of the demonstration. Her main purpose was to show us how to use advanced MICROSOFT WORD features when preparing tables of all sizes and complexity. This presentation was tailored to the users beyond the beginner level.

Our September 2 meeting will be held off-site at Quiknet Internet Services, 1624 Santa Clara Drive, #140. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. sharp. Quiknet management will make a presentation, and then we will have a tour of the ISP facility. This tour will give us an opportunity to learn much more about the operation of Internet and Web communications.

We will have our usual Q&A session during the meeting.
