New Web Team Volunteers
Carlos Machado, a member of the SPCUG, wrote in an e-mail: "If you still need folks, I would like to help as a Web team member. I do not have experience editing HTML, but I am eager to learn." This is the kind of response I receive regularly from our membership when I send out a call for help. I have received a similar offering from new Web Team volunteer Doug Hohn. And our new Webmaster, Brian Smither, has also joined the Web team by doing some editing and uploading the August Issue of eBlue. We still need more members to relieve some of the pressure from our present Web Team and to build eBlue into an even better online magazine. If you are interested, contact Chris Graillat.

Our New Public Relations Coordinator
Eric Butow has relieved Tony Barcellos as our new Public Relations Coordinator. New volunteer Ed Lewis will be assisting Eric with this duty, and Ed will also be helping out Frank Leonard with the Trade Show activities. I'm sure Eric could use more help with this expanding position. Let him know if you'd like to help.

Thank you, Tony, for a great job of bringing the SPCUG to the attention of the public eye through our General Meetings and the local media, such as the Sacramento Bee and CCN, with your articles and announcements.

Past Volunteer Efforts
Ron Gothberg has been on the eBlue Web team from the start; he was part of the original design team and produced many of the regular content pages you read each month. Ron will now have to turn that volunteer work over to someone else, due to family considerations. Thanks, Ron. I know everyone, including me, has enjoyed working with you. You will be hard to replace.

Volunteers Needed Now!
We are going to need a new Lead Meeting Reporter to turn transcriptions of the General Meeting into an article for Sacra Blue and eBlue. Edwin Holloway has been doing this job, as well as the Training Coordinator position and the PC Jamboree. Contact Chris Graillat.

I hear all the time from our members what a wonderful job the volunteers are doing. Thanks for making my job an enjoyable experience. I hope you can have some fun with your volunteer work, as well. That's it for September.

Volunteer Needs
I am sure you will find volunteer work for the group very rewarding, and it could even create some interesting opportunities for you. You may be surprised how little time is involved in some of the positions that hold great benefit for the group. Please take a look at the NEW job openings below. If you think you can help the group, contact me, and let's talk about it.

Meeting Reporter: We need a "deadline oriented" Meeting Reporter who can turn transcriptions of the General Meeting into an article for Sacra Blue and eBlue.

Meeting Transcribers: The Meeting Transcribers can take notes during the General Meeting and then deliver them to the Lead Meeting Reporter, who edits and forwards them to the Sacra Blue Editor. Several reporters are usually needed to cover the entire evening's meeting. Or you may put together a report on one part of the General Meeting and submit it to the Editor. Contact Chris Graillat.

Web Team Members: We can always use more members for the eBlue Web team. If you have some HTML editing experience, your help is greatly needed. Or, if you have a desire to learn basic HTML in an effort to help us, contact me and we'll teach you basic HTML editing for this project at the monthly General Meeting.
