Our November meeting was opened by President Gary Sloan who introduced our guest speaker, Dennis Duffy. Dennis is from Customer Development Systems and is a Mentor for SPCUG in many categories, including Beginners Help. His presentation was on the powerful Access database program. The fast-paced demonstration covered techniques on how best to use the program for creating and maintaining various database types. This was another timely subject for those of us who want to have one of the most useful programs to list names and addresses for personal or business lists. It will also help with the printing of address labels for the holidays. Kudos to Mary Lint for getting the projector working well. It made the presentation much easier to follow.
Our Q & A session concentrated on the evening's topic: Access. Dennis fielded many questions, including how to import old file formats, such as Buttonware's PC File and others.
